9..Fishing Day
…Well after my snooze, which wasn’t great. Rolling from one side to the other I thought I’d fall off, managed to stay on the bed but not a good sleep. So I got up and went upstairs to where the boys were. They had just caught a little Tuna. Santa was pulling up a shark as I got there and then a dolphin swam by. It was full on. So they got out my chair and I sat on top with them just outside the wheelhouse. They baited their rods again but didn’t catch anything, I didn’t bother with one today. Plenty of time for me to catch fish. I have never seen my hunny so excited as he was when I went up on deck. He was so happy to have me there and be underway.I was doing quite well up on top, had a towel around my shoulders/ neck so as not to get burned. Don’t need that on top of the rest. Then my hunny rigged up a tarp to keep the sun off me. And I just sat there looking at the islands in the distance. Cliffs that had rock falls at their base. Made it all the way to dark but its quite muggy up top so I came to get in the cool, hoping that would stop me itching. Alas no. At the moment we are going through a small gap between islands, I was going to stay up top for it but the itch was driving me batty. And I guess the possibility of midiges would be high since we are going to be close to land. That extra itch I don’t need. The plan is to motor all night on auto pilot, with the guys taking turns to be on watch. All in all I’ve had a good day, I just hate being away from my hunny we’re only been apart for 1week in our 22 years of being married.
