20.. next stop Karratha.

Dear diary readers,

Today, we started out a little too early as we needed to do some stuff online, so in true form, we were not prepared again..
But hubby moved a little closer to the land and got some decent reception on deck only and got the most important stuff done, like paying for yesterday’s fuel.
So our heading is another fuel stop but uncertain if we really will need much but I’d asked the lady to send the card to this port and so we shall see what happenes when we get there. Our destination is Karratha, just half a day from Port Headland. But looking on what little maps we have, shoulda got one in Broome.
And seeing where the Bailey’s fuel is (point samson) between port headland and just a tad up from Karratha. (will it be there) , then another fuel (not baileys) at Dampier further south a little of Karratha…hhmmm long taxi drive to Karratha … which way to go, and I thought we got it figured out .. so not true… I hear (not the voice of my mother on my shoulder) but the voice of Libby, saying OH Mother !! did you not learn from Broome. Appears not… oh well .. so sitting here I’ve had a couple times in bed today from sore side hurts.. needed Panadol . thank goodness port headland will be in sights tomorrow. Then Karratha after that … hhhmm I need to make a shopping list while I think about it ..

3.. Map of western Australia waterways… download it off line to work on off line … sheesh…
4.. tartare sauce for all the fish dinners.. and the ever so nice Panco bread crumbs..
Oh and a couple of movies… although I have zillions at home there are one or two I need to get for the entire series of Marvel ..
Yes we watched all 22 movies in the series back in sept last year .. but you can miss so much … we figure we can watch all those again at sea … so shopping list done..
So today was a bit rough … and while we have the aircon on again all the time … it is starting to go up as we come down to the cooler climes.. yup still summer and yup still gonna need it just not as much as up in Darwin.. I still can’t quite believe this is all ours and we actually got to do this.. while some bits have been of nightmare makings others have been so dream like …especially when it was so flat and still between Nhulunbuy & Darwin, that was surreal .. and quiet ..
We sit in the galley hubby n I .. rarely since he has to keep an eye out… talking about how he knows he can do this or that to make the stairs go away for me.. and have a little lift in there… always thinking of how to do things to benefit me and make it all easier
For me… eventually I’ll be driving this thing too… well watching while the auto pilot steers and keeping my eyes open for rogue freezers out there…..giggle
