My Birthday

The day before ... We went over to libby's house, just for a change, lol .. i was sitting there and libby feeding the baby we are watching telly, Ken and Keith were out and about .. libby says to me " has dad said anything about tomorrow?"

i replied with a NO why ?

well its your birthday tomorrow she says , did you forget ...

i said no. of course i know its my birthday .. why would dad say anything ?

oh well thats good never mind she says... lol (darn secret is out ) i'm immediately suspicious ...

when ken and dad get home ... hey honey whats happening tomorrow ...

and ken pipes up with (looking at libby) did you tell her?

lol they can't shut up these kids ....

meanwhile dad is saying nothing is happening ...giggle ... so now i KNOW something is happening ... so i stop ... saying nothing more ....

they think they have fooled me ....

meanwhile still watching telly ... keith goes out to get us all some drinks and libby was just popping outside to move her car or so she said ... but went off with dad ....

when they got home ken popped his head out of his room ... saying thats great you went with dad ... some daughter time ....

so i said ... giggling to myself ... did you talk about tomorrow .... and they both said no ... to which ken piped up with ... you went all that way and didn't talk .... giggle ...

man i was laughing to myself ... definately something is up ...

so on the way home , i say to hubby whats happening tomorrow ... nothing he says ...but then says later ...those kids just can't keep their mouths shut ...

i find out that they are taking me out but don't know where so i shut up and don't ask ... at least that is going to be a surprise ...

so birthday comes and while it was less than brilliant in the morning the afternoon and evening turned out well ...

we went to Mia Cucina an Italian restaurant on the wharf and it was lovely we all enjoyed our meals and just when it was getting too warm for me they put on a fan ... ahhhhh lovely then switched it off just as my cake came out .... i'm not a huge cake fan but they got me a Strawberry Cheese Cake .... aaaahhhh so much better ... i had a little bit and it was gorgeous ... then from watching My Kitchen Rules , Graham wanted to try the Creme Brulee... we all had a taste and it was beautiful ...

so all in all i had a little surprise and a great night ....

i got some slippers , and some more of my fav perfume ... and some lovely cards with beautiful sentiments .... love my kids ... and hubby even though they didn't co-ordinate so well .... giggle ...
