Going Back to the Water
Well it was supposed to be all hands on deck, to get her back in the water and all the ropes sorted for tying up.. When Ken & I got to the boat yard we were too late she had already been splashed (as they call it)..
Dad was busy tying ropes to one pole then another and Ken got to help a bit there.. it was very breezy and quite cold, so i got back into the car and watched from there till it was all done.. we were going to go out to lunch but decided not too and just dine on board ..
Sooooooo .. comes the hardest part getting me onto the boat ... the finger is very narrow just enough for the wheelchair to fit ... then it was low tide and the finger is concrete. so it doesn't go up and down with the tide like the other pen fingers do ... lol so hubby had to rig up something for me to get on board ... instead of a ladder he opted for the ramp and get me to sit on it and slide on ... rofl ...
picture this ( as graham neglected to get a photo) ...lol maybe that was a very good thing...lol
Here i am all 10 tonne of me ... well not quite but you know i'm pretty big ... the ramp takes my weight thank goodness , its what keith got it for amongst other things .. and i with his help of course, sat on the top and started to slide down the ramp onto the boat thankfully i didn't get my pants snagged on any bits sticking out .... lol that would have been horrible ...
i don't mind telling you all that i was scared .... i don't want to go into the water ...lol i was hoping he would rig up the boom but that would have taken much more time ... lol .. so over and done with in a few seconds ... and my hunnys thoughts ...
" Honey ! you should trust me more. "
i do, i do , i trust him with my life ... but in these situations ... well lets say , i'm not good on relinguishing control .. lol
