Hauled out again
Well here she is again, out of the water. Keith noticed some pitting at the water line and he went searching on the internet to see what it could be. Found out that if other boats in the Marina's close by are not fitted properly with things to prevent osmosis then they can attack your boat if you don't have an isolator (or something along those lines) ..
so since we had to get an electrician out to check our electrics according to the yacht club .. he decided to get an isolator for us to protect our boat in harbours .. we got that installed and a new electric cable made up and our boat accredited... at a huge cost of over 1k... but at least it should be fine now for quite a few years ...
so out of the water she comes again ... and i am off to our daughter's place for two weeks while Joyce is on the hard, as i cannot climb up and down the big ladder ... but as our daughter is visiting her aunt in Queensland for two weeks it kinda works out perfectly ...
This time we got the yard guys to do the scraping and such for the bottom of the boat and the recoating of the antifouling , while keith did the above the water line painting of the blue that we had only got one coating of done when hauled out in bunbury .. (we ran out of time there)
so its all a go !!!
