2 nights out

We got to go out again last weekend.. This time !!! we had a plan ... we left at around 3:30pm .. to go to our first night out at Gull Rock , we had gentle waves and it was very pleasant up on deck .. Hubby and son put out a line each and i sat talking to my good friend in Tassy (Episoda) with face time showing him the beautiful sunset that was happening ...

The gentle rocking helped with getting off to sleep and we still had internet out there .. actually better than in the marina ( how's that work ) ..

any way we were up early and off out to sea ... checking out the waves to see if we could fish out there ... but nope this weekend they were a little rough for kenny and he got queesy so back into the sound we went ... draging a lure behind but caught nothing there .... we stopped around the back of Michaelmas Island and started to do some fishing there ... we put the anchor down and got ourselves all ready ....

keith caught himself 3 fish , all off the back of the boat .. i got no bites and kenny got a few over the other side from me ....

then i got a bite and it was heavy and sluggish ....just like a stingray ... they find a ledge and hide under so you can't pull them out ... broke my line ....

there were heaps of fish on the finder .... they just didn't seem hungry for our bait ... just then keith caught his 2nd fish a beautiful one shown in the pic .... lovely eating too

the last one caught was a wrasse and not so good eating so he went back ...

maybe we should have stayed there but we headed off to our overnight destination of Frenchmans Bay .... and while fishing there we got nothing it was just nice being out of the marina and on the hook for a while ...

next day was going to be windy so keith hot foot it back to the marina early ... but as often happens whats predicted and what happens is totally different , it was light winds and a beautiful day .... sigh ... oh well we'll get out again soon ...
