one way to clean the hull

Beached as Bro

While sliding on the bed with a very frightened puppy, keith went to see what was happening .... he came back telling me what had happened and took puppy back out with him... we were still getting bashed sideways up the beach .... so he took bella onto the beach for a run ( ahhh terra firma ) ... and tried to see what he could do to make it more comfortable for me and to get me upstairs or off .... as the tide started to come in........ we had hit at low low low tide , with 15 hrs to wait for high tide ...

meanwhile ...

i'd been messaging our friend carol , and also our friend mark to see what we could do and how to go about it all ... mark said he would come over and see how he could help but he had work to do in the morning .... carol was there for me at the other end of messenger ... but lying down and moving sideways is not conducive to typing very well and also google takes over and puts in the wrong thing ... so that was an interesting day of communications ....lol ...

so Captain Keith, sent me some pictures so i could better answer carols questions ... lol and then tried to face the boat into the waves .... each passing wave was getting less and less slidy for me ... and then i was able to get up off the bed ....yay....

then we just had to wait for mark to come over and try to help us off ... so with help from corrina and his boat , and a borrowed rope , they put out a secondary anchor and managed to winch our boat off the sand at 6 pm 6 hours before high tide ....

we then hot foot it out of there and raced (as much as possible) back to the safety of princess royal harbour .. and an anchorage (guaranteed not to drag ) out near the quarantine station ..

a huge thanks goes out to the generosity of mark mcrae at https://southernoceansailing.com.au/

to corrina for her help also..... https://www.facebook.com/BomboraFoods/
