Sooo we had run out of money ….
Keith started to look around for work and found heaps .. all handyman jobs .. and his trucks.. so i’ll leave it up to keith to post all those ..
Graham looked around for work and got odd jobs then landed a Woolies (Woolworths) job… He is and isn’t happy there.. and i’ll let him update you on those..
Having moved further into Albany, off the boat .. I was able to investigate further and found The Empty Bobbin.. It’s a craft store where you can sit and do things everyday of the week.. at first we went in to show and get some prices on some of my UFO’s .. got some great advice and materials from the owner (Kym) .. this began a very crafty time in my life where being there all did was create stuff … starting small and working up to bigger and better things … in crochet, knitting and patchwork stuff..
since graham worked there a bit , Kym came up with the idea that I could use graham’s wages for shopping .. and so it was done.. some things i paid for and others i got off grahams wages…
I spent most days there , having weekends off and the odd day i had appointments .. but mostly i was there all day ..
kym would ask me to try this and that and send me pics of things and i would find the tutorial on youtube and get cracking making things … i met a lovely lot of ladies coming in and sitting and going again … some different each day … it was great since i was in the caravan and had not place to store things only in Carol’s (super good friend) garage…
i made and gave away many things … i finished a ufo and got first prize in the local Agricultural Show for a map of Australia pic in Gallery … that christmas i heard a song on youtube from the Mik Maks ( a singing group for kids) i messaged them and asked if i could use their song as a interactive wall hanging of the 12 Aussie Days of Christmas..
They happily agreed and so the next year i put it in the same Agricultural Show and (WoW) won first prize again … i was shocked … but very happy … as i did it all (except the binding-thanks Kym) by hand …
These years flew past and we are now up to recent events..
