and the solution to the blowout problem was to bypass it ... and that worked and because its a huge barrel so doesn't need to be ocean cooled ... ( i know nothing about these things but thats the story i believe )... soooo onto the next thing...
Keith noticed a drip in the engine room when we were again about to leave the next week .. and investigated and found a leak in the water pump on the engine.. when water comes out its a tell tale sign that the seal is buggared .... and buggared it was .. so researching on the internet there are two water pumps one for marine and one for non marine.... we HAD to get the exact right one ....
looking to america ... it was over a thousand and then postage .... so we searched some more and found a place in Queensland .. much cheaper 300 including postage ... win .. and a few more days for that to get here from there ....
meanwhile i was getting in all the trips around town before i was homebound...
the water pump is fixed and we are off again to quaranup ( the quarantine station) and sitting on the hook for a while ...
again ... Carol came to see us off .... lol
